Why should I use JOCKY?

You should use JOCKY if you have your vehicle with you, and, for any reason, are unable and/or not willing to operate it. However, your vehicle must be operable by standard Class 3 driving license holders.

USING JOCKY

How do I request for a designated valet driver?

We automatically use GPS and Wi-Fi to set your request location. You may also enter an exact address or search for a venue name by tapping the address bar. Once you’ve set your request location, tap “REQUEST FOR JOCKY” to request for a designated valet driver.

Who are the designated valet drivers?

JOCKY crowdsources valet drivers from reliable valet / designated driver service providers and curated freelance drivers. All of these drivers hold valid Class 3 driving licenses, are at least 23 years old, and have at least 3 years of driving experience. They are capable of operating both automatic and manual transmission based vehicles, and have extensive experiences in handling a wide range of make and model.

How do I contact my designated valet driver?

As part of the communication process, the assigned designated valet driver will contact you directly, either by calling or messaging you, shortly after the request is confirmed. There will also be a contact number available for you once the request is confirmed.

How do I cancel my request?

You may cancel your request any time via the CANCEL BOOKING button. However, do take note that there will be a cancellation charge should you cancel within the first 20 minutes of a confirmed request. Cancellation after 20 minutes will not incur any cancellation charges.

How long do I have to wait my designated valet driver?

JOCKY strives to send an assigned designated valet driver to your requested location within 20 minutes. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the assigned designated driver may take longer than 20 minutes to reach your requested location. The assigned designated valet driver will keep you updated, but should you be unable to wait any longer, you may choose to cancel the request after 20 minutes at no charges.

What do I do if my designated valet driver doesn’t show up?

The assigned designated valet driver will make all reasonable effort to meet up with you. However, should any unforeseen circumstances prevent you from meeting up with the assigned designated valet driver, you may choose to cancel the request. Depending on JOCKY’s investigations, cancellation charges may or may not apply.

Can I do advance booking for a designated valet driver?

At this moment, JOCKY is only able to accept on-demand designated valet driver requests. We will be upgrading our capabilities to include advance booking in the near future.

DURING THE RIDE

What if my designated valet driver doesn’t know how to operate my vehicle?

Designated valet drivers have extensive experiences in operating a wide range of vehicles. However, there may be times in which the assigned designated valet driver may require some guidance on operations with regards to lesser known functions of your vehicle.

What if my designated valet driver doesn’t know how to go to my destination(s)?

Do allow the assigned designated valet driver to check on the map prior to moving off.

In what circumstances will my designated valet driver reject my request?

Designated valet drivers are qualified individuals who pride themselves as professionals tasked to send you and your car safely and efficiently to your destination. The assigned designated valet  driver has the right to reject should your request be used for, or in conjunction with, any illegal, illegitimate or unsavoury activities. Also, the assigned designated valet driver has the right to reject should they be abused, both physically or verbally. In severe circumstances, the assigned designated valet driver has the right to seek police assistance.

The assigned designated valet driver has the right to reject instructions from you that are illegal in nature, such as instructions that require the assigned designated valet driver to violate traffic rules.

Is there a code of conduct?

While technology helps ensure the speed, dependability, and safety of the service, people matter most to the JOCKY experience. Communication is key between our JOCKY partners and users to ensure that everyone in the vehicle has a common standard for respect, accountability, and common courtesy.

What happens if my vehicle is involved in an accident?

In the unfortunate event that your vehicle is involved in an accident, JOCKY will investigate the nature of the matter thoroughly, and will advise accordingly.

What if my vehicle breaks down while en-route to my destination?

It is your responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is in a fit and roadworthy condition. If, by no fault of the assigned designated valet driver, should your vehicle break down, the journey will be considered as completed, and you will be charged accordingly.

What if my vehicle is low on fuel?

It is your responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient fuel in your vehicle, failing which the assigned designated valet driver reserves the right to top up fuel, which shall immediately be reimbursed by you, in the vehicle as necessary to allow the delivery of the service. Additional location and/or waiting time charges may also apply.

What if I need to change destination while en-route to my current destination?

If you need to change destination while en-route, do kindly let the assigned designated valet driver know. Additional location charges may apply.

PAYMENT

What are the charges like?

At this moment, JOCKY charges a fixed fare. Please visit the pricing section to understand better.

JOCKY will be revising the service charges to a time and distance based fare in the near future.

When will I be charged?

You will be charged once you’ve arrived at your destination.

How do I make the payment?

You don’t need cash when you’re chauffeured with JOCKY. Once you arrive at your destination, your fare is automatically charged to your credit card on file.

Do I need to tip my designated valet driver?

Although there is no need to, you may wish to give a cash-based tip to your assigned designated valet driver however you please.
